This page supposedly with ANIMATIONS, which explains all the animations here.
Click on the 100x100 image to watch the animation! I've omitted a lot of animations that don't really showcase my skills either because they were incomplete or were rushed. The animations here are sort of the "key" animations which helped shape me to what I am today. For that reason, I've included a little 'story' behind each of them which explains what I've learnt by making each animation.

Ever since I started animating (around 3 years from now), I've wanted to make a music video. There has been a couple of failed attempts prior to this, and the reason I think they failed was because I was being too perfectionistic. By that I mean that I would draw storyboards, then wireframes, then sketches, then clean lines, then colours, then shading, then backgrounds. By the time I got up to even the sketching over wireframes, I had the realisation that I wasn't that great at drawing, which really disheartened and demotivated me. Furthermore, the fact that I felt so weary of the project yet had so much longer to go really burnt off any willpower remaining.
Upon self reflection, I thought that if I just lowered my standards just a little bit, I could create something much more substantial whilst still sustaining an acceptable amount of quality. This meant that I did not have to worry so much about perfect anatomically correct figures, flawless smoothness, etc. As long as there was something interesting going on, and that the viewer would stay entertained up until the very end. Essentially, I chose quantity over quality to a degree; although the animation may not have been silky smooth and the drawings weren't perfect, I was able to finally create a long enough animation to be proud of, and that's what I think was most important.

For quite some time, I was very arrogant and thought that I was too good for stick animation - it required little artistic skill to pull of a stick animation. I can't remember exactly why, perhaps I thought to myself "if it's so easy, why don't I just create an animation that'll impress thousands in a few days?" - and that's exactly what I did. When I finally completed it I realised the difficulty in stick animation and finally accepted it as an art form. It's tough because you have to make it that much more fluid and believable - you don't have a full body figure to help the illusion, every one of the movements you animate have to be spot on.
With this animation I tried getting my name out in the stick animation community, but they didn't find it as good as I'd hope. Comparing it to the masters of stick animation really makes the the animation look mediocre, but I think the small bits of humour in it make up for the lack of perfection. It seems that the newgrounds community agree with that, thus I got a daily 3rd place on newgrounds. I know what you're thinking, "getting a daily 3rd on newgrounds is nothing; you get no money, no real credible award - just a false sense of importance and a slight ego boost," but hey! Even getting something as small as an award shows that I'm getting somewhere. Overall, this is one of my favourites of mine, because it shows that I do have some potential do choreograph some action sequences when the time comes. Maybe next time I'll move onto full body action sequences to make it real impressive!

I have mixed feelings about this. It's kind of like a one hit wonder on deviantart; I have never ever hit 1000 favourites (or even get close) to it, and that gets annoying. The reason it's probably so popular is because it's based on a character by nch (whom I sought inspiration from), and I'm guessing he would have shared it with his massive fanbase. Another perspective I take on this, is that it shows kind of a transition from choppy - badly animated works to much more aesthetically pleasing movement. It includes a trick I learnt from a tutorial somewhere called easing (basically means acceleration and deceleration between poses).

This was the result of a few months of animating and practise, and it shows. Mostly tweened animation; at the time I did not have a clear understanding of movement and fluidity. The reason I like this is because of the fact that I managed to finish it - I had a goal and I completed it! There is no better feeling that watching that final product over and over in awe. It was also the first animation I made that I didn't feel embarassed of! This animation also shows my early inspirations on deviantart (where I originally began animating - the newgrounds community was quite scary at the time, although I can't remember why I felt that way). People like ryanide (covered one of his songs), nch (who I made meow meow dance for), lazymuffin (I also made something for him, but it was really rushed and I don't like it all that much), eddsworld (made a very short lip sync of his characters), kite-ride (fanart) and a bunch of others really made me want to make my own animations.
